A 23-year-old patient presented with a missing maxillary anterior tooth and associated malalignment/spacing. Orthodontic treatment was initially performed to establish proper tooth alignment and, importantly, to create an adequate three-dimensional space for replacement of the missing tooth.
Following completion of orthodontic treatment, the edentulous site demonstrated appropriate mesiodistal space and favorable alignment of the adjacent teeth. A dental implant was subsequently placed in the rehabilitated edentulous space, followed by prosthetic restoration with an implant-supported crown.
